Material 1.4310 (X10CrNi18-8 steel) is a European standard austenitic stainless steel with good corrosion resistance and weldability, as well as high strength and ductility, it is widely used in the production of high strength stainless steel springs. DIN EN 1.4310 spring steel equivalent grades include AISI 301, JIS SUS301, GB 12Cr17Ni7.

Material 1.4310 Heat treatment

The following is material 1.4310 heat treatment, such as hot forming, solution annealing.

  • Hot forming: 1200 – 900 ℃ (cooling: air)
  • Solution annealing: 1000 – 1100 ℃ (cooling: water, air)

Applications

Springs up to 300 °C temperature, knives and high-strength sheets for the automotive industry.
